Social Responsibility
Ziyanda is acutely aware that access to educational opportunities are not always easily accessible to many South Africans. As we believe that education underpins the success of both individuals and industries, we have developed an initiative called “A&All”. The initiative encompasses three programmes:
Library Programme
Our goal is to establish libraries and to improve existing libraries in areas where we develop/provide asset management services. We are currently working on our first library in conjunction with our information specialist. The libraries will have a carefully curated selection of African literature as well as a non-fiction.
Bursary Programme
We assist students interested in the renewable energy-related studies to access bursaries and other education-related support services through our network of partners, clients and other concerned parties. Our first cohort of students are currently registered for Actuarial Science degrees at the University of Pretoria and University of the Witwatersrand.
Internships Programme
We also assist university students with internships in the renewable energy and related industries. This includes introducing students to renewable energy projects in the design phase, modelling, and all other things that connect MWs to the grid.
